There's no need to censor words, I will refrain from offensive posts in the future.
Again, I meant no offense, merely meant to make a point.
The reason for this post is brought about by what I remember of Wate's Sound Off Forum members comments
on the subject of using profane/obscene word in posts. I am not one that can condemn anyone on this subject for that would be like the pot calling the kettle black! Hope that is not a racist comment!
The level of offense generated by a profane/obscene word or phrase depends on region, context, and
audience.Although most of us have no problem with profanity, there are three concerns about it use.
One - A forum can not control the audience that views it contents. Some content may not be suitable for
a young viewer/audience.
Two – Some adults would not participate in a forum that allows it use.
Three - That word censorship helps the Staff of this forum to respect the Forumotion.com's Terms of services, as the Staff is responsible of the board's content.
A middle of the road stance on this issue would be to censor on a word by word basis being prompted my
member in an attempt to keep members and add new members to the forum.
