AARP's endorsement helped secure passage of President Barack Obama's health care overhaul. Now the seniors' lobby is telling its employees their insurance costs will rise partly as a result of the law.

In an e-mail to employees, AARP says health care premiums will increase by 8 percent to 13 percent next year because of rapidly rising medical costs.

And AARP adds that it's changing copayments and deductibles to avoid a 40 percent tax on high-cost health plans that takes effect in 2018 under the law.

Anyone want to speculate how the AARP execs made out in the whole ObamaCare backroom deal-a-thon?

Will you remain a member? I have never been a member because I never thought their intentions was to represent the Seniors and the Retired!

AARP did not at any time consider the welfare of sceniors when they did what they did to us.I am a member ,but whan that membership ends it will be a very cold day in hell when they get any more of my money.If I subscribed to any of their endorsements I would be paying ont at least $1000.00 more a year in premiums,Life,Car,Property etc. They should change their name to screw,because thats exactly what sceniors are getting.
