Boyle’s article is about.......the hundreds of thousands of dollars that The Post and CBS have received from the Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (ERRP). The ERRP is an "Obamacare slush fund".
The "Obamacare slush fund" has arbitrarily doled out nearly $2 billion (of the $5 billion fund, which was supposed to last until 2014) to select corporations, government pension funds and labor unions within the last year..... New projections expect the funding to run out before the end of 2012, if not sooner.
The very existence of this fund......which has been touted as a means of protecting health care coverage prior to the onset of Obama’s unconstitutional socialized medicine law — highlights the dangers inherent in giving government additional control over the health care marketplace. Not only is this fund rife with corruption and mismanagement — as evidenced by these payments to media outlets that are supposed to objectively cover Obamacare — but its borrowed billions have failed to accomplish their objective.
“This program is providing ‘free’ money to corporations, states, unions, and pension plans,” Rep. Cliff Stearns, Florida Republican said in an e-mail to TheDC. “In addition, the Washington Post and CBS received funding under this program. How can the Washington Post and CBS be impartial on the issue of health care when they received funding under the health care law?”
