On my computer, Win 7 Pro, HughesNet Status Meter Version 5.0. and 5.0.1 would not auto run/start when I turned on the computer. I had to click on the desktop icon and then would get the irritating User Account Control (UAC) prompt asking me if I wanted to allow it to run. Click on allow and it run until the computer started again.

On 7 Jul 2013, I downloaded an update,HughesNet Status Meter  Version 5.1.0. This version would autostart BUT I would get the irritating User Account Control (UAC) prompt asking me if I wanted to allow it to run. You have got to be kidding me........what good is that?

I know that HughesNet Status Meter can be made to auto run/load without the irritating User Account Control (UAC) prompt asking me if I wanted to allow it to run, because, I have two programs that do this and all I did was download them and install them....the two are Incredimail (free) and AVG (free).

Now to get HughesNet Status Meter Version 5.0.,5.0.1 or 5.1.0 to autostart/load the correct way and no UAC go to the link below and follow the instructions of the tutorial with images.
