On my computer, Win 7 Pro, HughesNet Status Meter Version 5.0. and 5.0.1 would not auto run/start when I turned on the computer. I had to click on the desktop icon and then would get the irritating User Account Control (UAC) prompt asking me if I wanted to allow it to run. Click on allow and it run until the computer started again.
On 7 Jul 2013, I downloaded an update,HughesNet Status Meter Version 5.1.0. This version would autostart BUT I would get the irritating User Account Control (UAC) prompt asking me if I wanted to allow it to run. You have got to be kidding me........what good is that?
The irritating User Account Control (UAC) prompt......I know that HughesNet Status Meter can be made to auto run/load without the irritating User Account Control (UAC) prompt asking me if I wanted to allow it to run, because, I have two programs that do this and all I did was download them and install them....the two are Incredimail (free) and AVG (free).
Now to get HughesNet Status Meter Version 5.0.,5.0.1 or 5.1.0 to autostart/load the correct way and no UAC go to the link below and follow the instructions of the tutorial with images.
