Subject: US ARMY FLIGHT TRAINING PROGRAM Mon 02 Aug 2010, 6:40 am
Here is a video of the US Army Flight Training Program. This one was filmed during the Viet Nam War years. The concept of the training is still the same and the location of training has changes. Training now takes place at Ft Rucker, Al.... Ft, Wolters, Tx was shut down and training moved to Ft. Rucker to save time and money.
The missions of the Army Pilots are still the same just the locations of training, combat and aircraft models have changed.
NOTE: Every wondered what happens when the engine quit in a helicopter?? This video shows what the landing looks like..one in the TH-55 Trainer aircraft and one in the UH-1A combat aircraft. I, personally, have performed thousands of these emergency (without engine power) landing.
For anyone interest in the US Army Flight Training Program (current training program) and want to become a US Army Pilot see...... http://www-rucker.army.mil/newcomers/students.html
