The people at FairTax.org sent me this summary of the post-election results affecting those candidates that outright supported and ran with the FairTax and even those that didn't actually endorse, but during the campaign had perhaps mentioned that they were receptive to the FairTax.
Overall, we had 33 attacks against Congressional and Senatorial candidates. Some ran on the FairTax and some did not but were attacked anyway. We had 21 candidates that won their election, 9 lost, and 3 are still too close to call.
In the elections where there were aggressive responses by the grassroots or the candidates, we were 12-1.
In the races that were rated toss-ups with an aggressive response, we were 2-1.
In the races that were rated toss-ups and there was little to zero response to the attack, we were 0-3.
In 20 of the 21 races that were won, the FairTax candidate beat an incumbent.
These attacks are frustrating because FairTax is disparaged by someone trying to gain political advantage over an opponent. When the candidates stand up to the attacks, they have a much better success rate. If they hide, the ads can be effective.
