On Monday, December 6, Congressman John Linder (GA-07) announced that he and Congressman Tom Price (GA-06) will hold a joint press conference on Capitol Hill introducing Congressman-elect Rob Woodall as the new primary co-sponsor of the FairTax in the 112th Congress, and Congressman Price as the lead co-sponsor on the legislation.

In response to the announcement, Woodall issued the following statement:
“I made a commitment to the constituents of Georgia's Seventh Congressional District that I would introduce the FairTax legislation on Day One in Congress and grow support for this bill to unprecedented levels. Congressman Linder set the standard for tax reform with the FairTax, and I am committed to carrying on his efforts by working with Congressman Price and my fellow colleagues in the House of Representatives toward an overhaul of this nation’s abomination of a tax code.”
“I am looking forward to this press conference on Thursday and believe it is an important contribution to our ongoing and much-needed discussion on tax reform.”
